Ward Mosmuller

Ward Mosmuller represents DSM’s interest in Europe/EMEA in areas such as sustainability, innovation (life sciences, materials), climate issues and circular economy and bioeconomy. He represents DSM in a range of associations and multi-stakeholder platforms. He is cofounder of the € 3.7 billion EU public private partnership Bio-based Industries.

He studied Molecular Sciences (Wageningen University), holds a PhD in Bio-organic Chemistry and an MBA. He worked for the Dutch Technology Agency, in several positions, e.g. as manager of innovation & technology programs and the Technical Development Scheme TOK (a €600 million public loan facility for innovative businesses cases). He worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers in risk management (specifically in Life Sciences). He was director of BioPartner, supporting universities in life sciences entrepreneurship and spinning our start-ups. In 2005 Ward started his own company SCILS (innovation & technology transfer). He is cofounder-director of the Technology Transfer Office of VU University/Medical Centre Amsterdam. During his career he founded a range of foundations and (university spin-off) companies.
