Günter Liebel Mr Liebel started his career as a landscape architect and moved to the Federal Government in 1985 to build up the Austrian Environmental Agency, where he worked as Deputy General Manager. Since 1996, he has worked in the Ministry in various positions. From 2016 to 2018 as Director General for Environment and Climate, now Director General for Environment and Water Management.
Mr Liebel was the founding member of the Austrian Climate and Energy Fund and currently holds the position as a member of the University Council at the University College for Agrarian and Environmental Pedagogy and as a member of Board of the Federal Company for Site Remediation.
